Young Suns
Young Suns – now on Xbox and PC via Game Pass

The people of Jupiter are free, and in a delightful surprise for Xbox players, their story is available to experience right now at no extra cost. Developer KO_OP has shadow-dropped their narrative-driven life sim, Young Suns, into Xbox Game Preview.

In fantastic news for subscribers, the game is available day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It also features full Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing you to seamlessly carry your progress between Xbox consoles, PC, and the cloud.

For non-subscribers, the game is available to purchase for ÂŁ16.99.

This is a Game Preview release, meaning the game is currently a work in progress. It offers players the unique chance to jump in early, shape the development, and grow alongside a world that is just beginning to find its feet.

Your Ship is Your Home

This new optimistic sci-fi adventure invites you to step into an alternative future where the citizens of Jupiter have recently won their freedom. You are entrusted with your very own spaceship and a simple but vital mission: help rebuild and improve society for everyone.

This isn’t a high-stress survival game; it’s a narrative life sim designed for 1-4 players. Whether you’re flying solo or crewing up with friends via online co-op, the game is built for relaxed, daily sessions of one to two hours, allowing you to slowly cultivate your perfect life among the stars.

At the heart of Young Suns is your spaceship, which serves as both your vehicle and your cozy nest.

You can personalise your floating home with over 80 discoverable recipes and items. Paint the walls, stack the shelves, and find treasures in the junl you salvage. You can repair damaged furniture, clothing, and tools to use yourself, gift to friends, or donate to the common cause.

Open World Exploration

Your ship allows you to fly to fantastical planetoids, derelict ruins, and converted space stations in a newly reclaimed region of Jovian space. You’ll need to upgrade your tools to perform harder jobs and expand your ship as you grow and thrive in this new world.

The social aspect is key to rebuilding society. Young Suns features fully realised characters, each with unique looks, behaviours, and over two months of unique daily chat content.

You’ll learn their stories, help them solve their problems, and build lasting relationships as you work together to create a better future.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
