The GOAT universe hit NBA Bounce

The colourful courts of NBA BOUNCE are getting a cinematic upgrade with the arrival of NBA BOUNCE – GOAT: The Movie, a new DLC expansion inspired by Sony Pictures Animation’s comedy.

Available now for £9.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), this add-on introduces new characters, courts, and game modes designed to keep the action lively for players of all ages.

For those jumping in fresh, the NBA BOUNCE – GOAT: The Movie Deluxe Edition (£29.99) bundles the base game together with the GOAT DLC and the previously released Retro Party pack.

From The Big Screen To The Court

Drawing inspiration from the animated film GOAT, the DLC brings eight playable characters into NBA BOUNCE, including Will the Goat, Jett the Black Leopard, Lenny the Giraffe, and Olivia the Ostrich. Each character brings their own personality and flair to the fast-paced, arcade-style basketball gameplay.

The crossover fits naturally with NBA BOUNCE’s playful tone, blending sports action with exaggerated animation and family-friendly humour.

Courts That Fight Back

One of the biggest additions in the GOAT DLC comes in the form of film-inspired courts that actively change how matches play out. Environmental effects such as ice, wind, volcano, and jungle hazards can alter movement, timing, and dunking opportunities, adding unpredictability to every game.

These courts don’t just look different – they encourage players to adapt their strategies and embrace the chaos.

The Climb And The Cage

The DLC introduces two new game modes designed to expand NBA BOUNCE’s replay value.

The Climb offers a progressive challenge mode where matches become increasingly difficult, pushing players to refine their skills and timing.

Meanwhile, The Cage leans into party-style gameplay, allowing players to create their own rules and compete in unpredictable matches with friends.

Customisation And Rewards

Beyond characters and modes, the DLC adds new cosmetic options and unlockables. Players can experiment with three new Roarball colours, collect fresh sneakers, and earn new achievements while climbing the ranks toward legend status.

These additions give players more reasons to return to the court, whether solo or with friends.

Building On NBA BOUNCE’s Party Appeal

When we reviewed NBA BOUNCE in 2025, awarding it 3.5/5, we highlighted how the game shines most in local multiplayer: “Yes, playing NBA Bounce alone does get a bit boring after a while, as the game becomes a tad samey. But it’s in playing with others on the same couch where this can properly shine, and, of course, in its wonderfully wacky Party mode.

Smalls Can Ball

With colourful characters, chaotic courts, and new ways to play, NBA BOUNCE – GOAT: The Movie feels like a natural extension of the game’s family-friendly energy. By blending cinematic inspiration with arcade basketball gameplay, this DLC keeps the experience accessible, playful, and easy to jump back into.

Whether you’re climbing the ranks or just causing chaos in The Cage, the message is clear, anyone can become a legend on the court.
