Announced today, NBA Playgrounds is a new arcade style basketball game being developed by Sabar Interactive, with the publishing side of things being handled by Mad Dog. Releasing in May 2017 for just $19.99 on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC, the 2-on-2 experience will bring you all 30 NBA teams, an extensive roster of current and retired players, a solo mode, local and online multiplayer and the chance to compete against the world in online tournaments.
With the arcadey style that is in play, you’ll find hundreds of completely over the top dunks and moves, letting you pull off show-stopping displays of acrobatic skills on playgrounds from around the globe.
“Basketball is such a pick-up-and-play sport at heart – we really wanted to bring that spirit into gaming,” said Saber’s CEO, Matt Karch. “NBA Playgrounds has a lot of depth for pros who’ve mastered their game, but it’s accessible enough that anyone can jump in, have fun and feel competitive.“
