Neko Bento DLC
Neko Bento DLC – now on Xbox

Are you ready for a fresh batch of food-packing puzzles? The adorable cat-chef from Neko Bento is back with a host of new challenges, as three new downloadable content packs have arrived.

The New Levels 1, New Levels 2, and New Levels 3 packs are now available on Xbox. There’s a very good chance that if you play on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC, you’ll find them too.

A Fresh Batch of Bento Puzzles

For players who have already mastered the art of packing the perfect lunchbox and are hungry for more, these new DLC packs serve up a significant new helping of content.

Each of the three packs – New Levels 1, New Levels 2, and New Levels 3 – is priced at a very accessible £0.79. Each one unlocks 24 new extra puzzles, tasking you with fitting an array of delicious snacks into your bento.

That means if you grab all three, you’ll have a whopping 72 new challenges to solve!

What is Neko Bento?

For the uninitiated, Neko Bento is a delightful puzzle game with a simple yet addictive premise. You are presented with a lunchbox and a variety of cute, cat-chef-prepared food items, from onigiri snacks and plumpy tomatoes to adorable octopus sausages. Your job is to fit them all perfectly within the confined space.

With every level, the challenge changes. The lunchbox might alter its size and shape, new food items like tofu are introduced, and new obstacles in the form of rice pulps or balls appear to make packing that much trickier. It’s a relaxing yet engaging brain-teaser with a wonderfully cute visual style.

Time to Pack Again?

When the game first launched, we asked the simple question: “Can you pack Neko Bento on Xbox?“. We highlighted its charming and straightforward puzzle mechanics, perfect for a chill gaming session. These new level packs are the ideal continuation for anyone who enjoyed that core gameplay loop and has been waiting for their next order from the cat-chef.

They promise more of the same satisfying puzzle-solving that made the base game so appealing.

If you’re ready to put your thinking cap back on and test your spatial awareness skills, the New Levels 1, 2, and 3 packs for Neko Bento are available to purchase from your favourite digital store right now. The bold links above will whisk you to the Xbox Store page for each.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
