It’s been near on 2 years since 10tons thrust Neon Chrome in to the lives of Xbox One gamers, but now there is a push to ensure that a whole host of new players find a reason to head on over to the ruthless top-down cyberpunk shooter – Arena mode!
A shooter which features multiple roguelike elements, Neon Chrome is a game that is begging to be played should you just fancy sitting back with a number of weapons and a ton of cybernetic abilities, in order to blast anything and everything, make rooms explode, obliterate whole floors and defeat bosses in hand-crafted boss fights.
And whilst the standard game in itself is well worth a play, we are now seeing the arrival of a new game mode, one that costs very little cash but promises much.
Neon Chrome – Arena comes with just a £3.99 price tag attached, but drops you in to a survival experience in which your goal is to keep going for as long as, and by whatever means is, necessary. Working as a solo or local co-op experience, your efforts will be ranked on worldwide leaderboards as you choose from 5 unique roles, install up to 12 enhancements and upgrade your weapons with the express intention of holding off enemies forever more.
How well will you cope with the madness that 10tons are bringing? You’ll only find out by getting a download in.
The Microsoft Store will sort you out for a download, and you’ll obviously need the base game in place prior to even worrying about this, but for a new take on the survival experience, Neon Chrome – Arena may well be worth a little look.
