It’s almost impossible not to immediately draw comparisons between the Monkey Island titles (especially the newer ones) and the similarly wacky and abstract point-and-clicking action taking place in Whirlight – No Time to Trip.
But that’s no bad thing at all! Developers of Whirlight – No Time to Trip, imaginarylab (formerly of Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town), have just revealed a ton of new details regarding their next title, so read on for more info!
A Weird and Wonderful Inventor
Whirlight – No Time to Trip sees players take control of crazy inventor Hector May, as he embarks on a time-travelling adventure with sidekick Margaret. Hmm… an unhinged inventor with the ability to travel through time? We can’t help but think we’ve seen this one before, especially when the name Marty McFly gets thrown into the conversation!Â
Gameplay here will play out in typical point-and-click fashion, as you make use of objects you find through the game to solve a variety of puzzles. Along your adventures through a Venician-style town, you’ll also meet a number of quirky characters, all in the aim of building a brand-new invention. Oh, you may even somehow save the entire world in the process!
