Ladies and gentlemen, his name is Paul Heyman and he’s here to introduce you to the MyCareer mode offerings. Will you be his next client in WWE 2K17?
If you’ve always dreamed of being a ‘Paul Heyman guy’, then WWE 2K17’s MyCareer mode could make those dreams come true. The man himself narrates the MyCareer trailer, going over some of the key details and the paths you could take your created Superstar down. Although you’ll be expected to start in NXT, fast-tracking to the main roster will be possible if head trainer Matt Bloom is impressed by your skills. There’s also the chance to be noticed by Heyman himself, and then it’s down to you to follow his lead by accepting challenges, or you could risk the wrath of his Beast and refuse the offer.
As mentioned previously, the new promo engine will help to captivate audiences as you gauge their reactions and make choices accordingly. Any reaction is a good reaction, as whether your character is a face or heel, the popularity rating can increase with the best choice of talking points. Being popular is vital to earning VC because this time, players can get royalties from their own merchandise they wear down to the ring.
That’s not all. You’re no longer limited to holding just a solitary WWE Championship and so, as long as you’re good enough, you can have a belt on each shoulder. Yeah, the limit is now set to two, but it’s better than one.
Let me leave you with the Beast’s advocate to explain more…
