New free Plague Doctor content arrives for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

2026's Best Games

sherlock holmes chapter one plague doctor pack

We love Sherlock Holmes Chapter One; the story-telling, the writing, the case solving. We also love how the Frogwares team behind it have pushed out multiple content drops for the game since it released at the back end of 2021. And that is where we are today, with a new free piece of content that players should be immediately grabbing.

Available to download totally free of charge right now is the Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Plague Doctor Pack. Running at zero price, we can’t for one moment try and sell this to you as a large content addition like the previous MyCroft’s Pride or A Master Thief add-ons, but if you have a copy of the game to hand, you should be downloading this immediately.

The Plague Doctor Pack for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One does pretty much as you would expect it to do, giving access to two new costumes for young Sherlock to kit himself out with. They are – as you’d expect – the Plague Doctor Costume, with a Laboratory Coat kicking in alongside that.

And that, is pretty much that. Zero cost, little content, but still something that you should be adding to the story-driven Sherlock saga right now.

You’ll find a download of the Plague Doctor Pack at the Xbox Store if you’re playing on Xbox Series X|S. Alternatively, if you’re running this adventure on PS5 or PC, the relevant stores for those should also provide access.

Don’t expect this to be a game-changer, but for free the Plague Doctor will do no harm.

DLC Description:

This DLC includes the following items: Plague Doctor Costume Laboratory Coat. In this story-driven detective thriller, a young Sherlock Holmes struggles to prove himself as he navigates an exotic, dangerous island in the Mediterranean to investigate the mystery of his mother’s death.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
