Styx: Shards of Darkness will give us the chance to take our little goblin friend on another adventure – today, Cyanide Studios have released a new gameplay trailer, giving us a bit of an insight into what is to come.
Dropping onto Xbox One, PS4 and PC come March 2017, Shards of Darkness follows on from the rather delightful original title, giving Styx new abilities, a ton of new locales to check out and a whole new zest of life. Building on the foundation that were originally laid in the tower of Akenash, Styx will now be more fluid than before, building on his climbing abilities and utilising a whole host of new tools and skills.
The gameplay trailer seen below features a slew of Styx’s new tools and abilities in three different locations – Wildoran the hunters’ village, the secret Sanctuary of the Dark Elven city Korrangar, and Thoben, the city of thieves.
With improved aerial abilities, a major upgrade to the cloning side of things and the chance to now teleport, you’ll be needing to rely on the stealth side of things should you wish to help Styx succeed in his mission. You see, Acid Traps are all well and good, but sometimes its better to just keep away from any on-comers.
Check out the trailer and then prepare yourself for Styx’s latest tale in the new year!
