Bandai Namco have unveiled new details and further info regarding Tekken 7, and this latest batch focuses on new characters and the opportunity to get down with online tournaments.
Two characters have been revealed with both Kuma and Panda being confirmed as playing major roles in Tekken 7 when it releases in early 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
As Heihachi Mishima’s pet, Kuma joins his master in the Tekken Force. He proves his unfailing loyalty by trying to protect Mishima Zaibatsu while he believed his master was dead. Defeated by Jin Kazama, he finally found Heihachi again and became one of the most essential members of the Tekken Force.
Panda is Ling Xiaoyu’s pet and bodyguard. After the disappearance of Jin Kazama, Xiaoyu set out to find him, totally ignoring the dangers it involves. Worrying for his master because she never returned home from her journey, Panda ran after her to bring her to her senses.
But that’s not all as Bandai have also detailed the new Online Tournament mode, letting players not only participate, but also create their own fights to enjoy with up to seven other players. There will be both single and double elimination options in place, private tourneys which require passwords and a full on Spectator Mode. Items and money will be on the line with winners walking away with numerous goodies.
The fight in Tekken 7 looks to be pretty personal and we can’t wait to check it out. We will of course bring you further details as and when they drop.
