Wanna rock? No Straight Roads is bringing rhythm infused action adventuring to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC real soon, and whilst an initial launch date of end of June has had to be put on hold, the teams at Sold Out and Metronomik are today confirming the brand new launch date – and to celebrate the new release day we’re seeing a new playable demo and Mini-OST drop.

First detailed back in May, No Straight Roads was meant to release to the world on June 30th 2020. That date has however now been pushed back to August 25th 2020, the day when No Straight Roads will release on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Coming to market in the usual digital fashion, full details of what No Straight Roads will provide can be found over on our previous piece, but basically, if you’re looking for a rhythmic action adventure that promises much, then this is going to be for you. Especially as it has been directed by Wan Hazmer, lead game designer of Final Fantasy XV, and Daim Dziauddin, concept artist of Street Fighter V, promising to mash together rhythm-infused combat with a vibrant offbeat world and a killer soundtrack.

If a digital launch isn’t to your liking then come that August release we should also be seeing a full physical launch on Xbox One and PS4, with a special Collector’s Edition delivering exclusive collectible items. Those wanting the same on Nintendo Switch will have to wait a little while for the opportunity.

Whilst any delay in release dates is always a disappointment, in our eyes, if Sold Out and the development team at Metronomik need just a little while longer to ensure that No Straight Roads lives up to the initial hype, then that is absolutely fine by us. To compensate, for those looking to rock out with Bunk Bed Junction, a playable demo is now available to download from the Epic Games Store, introducing Mayday & Zuke as they lead the musical revolution against corrupt EDM empire NSR.

And further to that, a mini-OST containing a selection of tracks from the game’s soundtrack is now available to download and stream from the usual digital music stores and streaming services, introducing players to some of the incredible music featured in No Straight Roads.

“As a huge thank you to our loyal fans who have waited for No Straight Roads, we’ve made a playable demo available today which will give everyone an idea of what to expect with our beloved game,” said Daim Dziauddin, creative director of No Straight Roads and co-founder of Metronomik. “We can’t wait for players to experience the full game very soon.”

We’ll be sure to remind you when that August 25th 2020 release date of No Straight Roads on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC rolls into play. For now though, watch the brand new BitSummit trailer below.
