New Team Sonic Racing video focuses on the team mechanics

-

With SEGA and the award winning developers at Sumo combining to deliver the next Sonic racer, chances are it’ll be of a more than decent quality. Today, a brand new video has emerged for the game – one that throws the spotlight on the team mechanics.

Team Sonic Racing will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC this winter as Sonic and friends put pedal to the metal to blow the opposition away. In order to start building the hype, SEGA have released the first in a series of gameplay spotlight videos, showcasing some of the key gameplay elements featured in the high-octane multiplayer racing experience.

In this first video we get to watch as Sonic and Friends work together using unique team-based moves to race past rival teams. It includes debut footage of Team Rose, a loveable new trio, and Ice Mountain, a frozen terrain that challenges players across all skill levels, and that should ensure it is certainly checked out by those looking forward to the ultimate arcade and fast-paced competitive style racing experience. If you are only bothered about Team Sonic Racing because it promises to feature your favourite characters and environments from across the Sonic Universe, or whether you are more interested in racing together across the online multiplayer or local co-op modes, it matters little… it’s Sonic, and it’s racing! What’s not to like?!?

Promised to be included in Team Sonic Racing, as you try to either assist teammates or knock out opponents, will be the following moves:

  • Skimboost: Boost struggling teammates back into action as you drive by!
  • Slingshot: Slipstream a teammate for a slingshot boost!
  • Rival Takedown: Knock out highlighted opponents ahead and speed past them!
  • Item Box Transfer: Send and receive Wisps with teammates anywhere on the track!
  • Team Ultimate: Use Team Mechanics to fill your Team Ultimate meter and unleash a massive team boost!

Check out the trailer below and then stand by for more info as and when we have it.
