Look well into the future, a billion years in fact, with the latest cinematic trailer for Techland’s upcoming science-fantasy RPG – Torment: Tides of Numenera.
This epic trailer showcases the events leading up to the point at which plays begin their journey as the Last Castoff – the product of megalomaniacal deity known as the Changing God. Whilst watching the trailer we’re taken a billion years into the future and introduced to a man who discovers a way to cheat death. Using ancient technology – the Numenera – he’s able to fulfil his quest for a never-ending legacy by transferring his consciousness into a body of his own design. He is the Changing God.
What the Changing God didn’t realise was that this act for escaping the clutches of death inadvertently caused an ancient beast to be awoken. This beast, The Sorrow, becomes hell-bent on destroying the Changing God and all of his Castoffs, in order to restore the balance. And then… YOU are born.
