What new Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are ‘In Stores This Week’? – 11th-17th September 2017

-

Can you remember back to the quiet days of August? You know, when hardly a new game arrived whilst we were all out enjoying the summer’s sun? Well, September is now here, the summer is long gone and the games market is picking up steam. So much so that this week sees a huge number of new Xbox One games releasing in stores near you. But what are they? Sit down, hold on tight and enjoy the ride. It’s going to be a bumpy one for your wallet – there’s even something for Xbox 360 players to get excited about!

Now, whilst all of the following are titles which can be picked up in physical format, should you so wish, you’ll be able to grab them digitally as well. If you prefer to go down that route, then you’d be crazy to not pay CDKeys a visit and grab some of their cheap Xbox Live Credit before you press the purchase button.

PES 2018

Every single year we are asked the same old question… Will it be PES or FIFA? FIFA or PES? Every single year we are told that the latest iterations of the class leading football games will bring new features, new mechanics, new visuals and new ideas. And every single year we flock in our millions, attempting to harness the skills of Neymar, the saves of Neuer and the tackles of Cattermole.

This year is no different and yet again Konami are first out of the blocks with their latest PES title – PES 2018.

With more new additions than any PES game in the last ten years, a new ‘touch +’ control scheme, a hugely improved visual upgrade and more gameplay modes than you can shake a shaky thing at, 2018 looks to have everything it needs to be a success.

Can this year be the year when Konami really can lay claim to the ‘Where Legends are Made’ motto that PES is being adorned with? The answer to that is quite possibly yes.

Limbo/Inside Double Pack

Playdead Games don’t make rubbish.

You see, on the whole, the world was amazed by Limbo. The same can also be said of the more recent Inside. In fact, both are games that you must play, at least once, in your life.

So, when Playdead and 505 Games put the two critically acclaimed titles together in one big double pack, promises to throw in a poster and an art card for good measure, you really shouldn’t be turning the opportunity down.

Yes you can buy them both separately, and the digital double pack has been around for many a month already, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be tempted in by what the physical double pack of Limbo and Inside brings.

You should, and you should buy it right now.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
