-

If the recent influx of new releases in the world of Xbox hasn’t satisfied your gaming needs, then prepare for some singing, dancing and a whole load of Nazis – to clarify, that’s not all in the same game. So let’s take a look at exactly what new games are ‘In Stores This Week’ for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

We Sing Pop! – 24th October – Xbox One

Sing your heart out in the latest iteration of the We Sing series, which focuses on the Pop genre of music and features the original recordings, as well as HD music videos. The track list spans five decades of the genre, with tracks such as “Green Light” by Lorde, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham, and “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, helping to ensure there’s a varied selection to choose from. Belt out the tunes on your own, alongside friends and against them, with eight game modes at your disposal. It could be an ideal game for the upcoming festivities.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – 27th October – Xbox One

The ever-present BJ Blazkowicz returns once more, this time to liberate America from the Nazi war machine. Playing the part of BJ, you’ll need to look after your friends and family, make new allies, and prepare to face your demons as you help the resistance overthrow the Nazis. Wield all sorts of high-tech upgradeable weaponry to decimate those who stand before you; from pistols and submachine guns, to a multi-purpose laser weapon known as the Laserkraftwerk and a rapid-fire grenade launcher called the Dieselkraftwerk. Assassin’s Creed Origins – 27th October – Xbox One

There have been many Assassin’s Creed games in years gone by, set in different locations and time periods, but now it’s time to go back to where it all began – the creation of the Brotherhood of Assassins. Join Bayek on an epic quest to bring about the demise of his enemies in Ancient Egypt, crossing paths with Julius Caesar and Cleopatra along the way. Raise your shield to defend against attacks, take enemies out from range with a shotgun bow or slay them up close using the Espasa, a double-edged sword, as you fight dangerous factions and wild beasts in this unpredictable world. You’ll also be able to choose your preferred abilities due to the deep RPG progression mechanics, and loot rare weapons to use in battle. Are you ready to discover the origins?

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.

Wolfenstein 2 will be getting my money in the not too distant future and I may give Assassin’s Creed a go down the line too. I’m playing through Black Flag currently and quite enjoying it.
