Delta Force – free on Xbox and PlayStation

One of the most iconic names in tactical shooter history has returned for a new generation, and it’s completely free to play. Are you ready for Delta Force on Xbox and PlayStation?

Previously only on Steam, Delta Force, the definitive modern team-based tactical shooter, has officially launched on console, available to download for free on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

From developer Team Jade and publisher TiMi Studio Group, this revival of the classic series brings three distinct gameplay modes, including an iconic Black Hawk Down campaign.

It’s time to gear up, squad up, and dive into the action, with full crossplay support and a commitment to fair, “no pay-to-win” gameplay.

Go to War

Delta Force is not just one game, but a trio of exciting experiences rolled into one free-to-play package.

This is large-scale, dynamic battlefield combat. You and 63 other players will battle across land, sea, and air in truly epic 32v32 PvP matches. The mode features a wide range of powerful vehicles and unique tactical gear to help turn the tide of battle across a plethora of maps.

For those who prefer a more tactical, high-stakes experience, Operations is the next generation of extraction shooter. You’ll deploy behind enemy lines with your squad, search for valuable loot, take on rival player squads, and extract before it’s too late. This mode also offers a challenging objective-based PvE Raid mode designed to push your squad to its absolute limit.

Black Hawk Down: The Legendary Campaign Returns

In a huge bonus for console players, you can step into the boots of legendary Delta Force operators and relive Black Hawk Down.

This thrilling mission-based campaign is available as a completely free DLC for all console players.

A Modern, Fair, and Connected Experience

Team Jade has ensured that Delta Force is a truly modern experience. The game features full crossplay support, allowing console players to team up with or face off against their friends on PC, with the option to opt for a console-only matchmaking pool if you prefer. There is also seamless cross-progression between PC, console, and mobile.

On console, Delta Force runs at a stable 60 FPS on all current-generation systems, with options to disable vertical sync to unlock the frame rate and choose between quality and performance modes.

Key Features

  • The Iconic Series Returns: The legendary Delta Force is back as a free-to-play modern tactical shooter.
  • Three Distinct Game Modes: Engage in epic 32v32 Warfare, the high-stakes extraction shooter Operations, or the classic Black Hawk Down campaign.
  • Free Black Hawk Down Campaign: Console players get the full single-player PvE campaign as a free DLC.
  • Full Crossplay & Cross-Progression: Play with your friends on any platform and carry your progress with you.
  • No Pay-to-Win: A commitment to fair play, with a dedicated anti-cheat team.

The chopper is waiting, and the mission is a go. If you’re looking for a new, high-quality, and completely free tactical shooter to sink your teeth into, Delta Force is ready for you on the Xbox Store right now.

Of course, as with most free to play experiences. There are a host of DLC packs available to ‘enjoy’ – in this case Delta Coins. There are numerous packs available, running from £0.79 for 60 Delta Coins, right up to 8100 Delta Coins for a cool £78.90. There’s plenty of stuff in-between too.

It’s time to remember the most important rule: No-one gets left behind.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
