Let Them Come Onslaught – coming to PC and console

Get ready for a last stand like no other as Tuatara Games, in partnership with publisher Digital Bandidos, has announced Let Them Come: Onslaught, a brutal sci-fi horror action roguelike coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2025.

This isn’t your average alien invasion; it’s a desperate fight for survival against overwhelming odds, where your only escape is a nuclear strike.

Let Them Come: Onslaught strands you on a hostile alien world overrun with monstrous creatures. Your mission? Survive long enough for a nuke to drop and obliterate everything – including you, hopefully after you’ve escaped. Every weapon choice and upgrade matters, as you battle endless hordes in a frantic, bullet-hell showdown.

Survivors-Like Meets ’80s VHS Horror

This is a “Survivors-like” experience, meaning you’ll be facing down waves upon waves of enemies, constantly upgrading your abilities and trying to stay alive for as long as possible. You know the drill, you MUST have played Vampire Survivors by now.

But Let Them Come: Onslaught adds its own twists to the formula, including a gritty ’80s VHS aesthetic, dynamic battlefield hazards, and a focus on cinematic carnage.

Imagine lightning storms suddenly illuminating the battlefield, volcanic eruptions spewing lava, or asteroid strikes raining down from above. These events can be both a blessing and a curse, adding an unpredictable element to every run.

More Than Just Alien Hordes

The game features multiple playable characters, each with unique perks and strategies. You’ll also unlock new weapons, upgrades, and abilities in the Armory, allowing you to customise your build and find the perfect combination to survive the onslaught. And to top it all off, the game features a pulse-pounding, retro-futuristic synth soundtrack by Cartridge 1987.

The developers are promising a polished and immersive experience, thanks in part to Tuatara’s VFX expertise. Expect high-impact visuals and plenty of over-the-top action.

If you played Let Them Come on Xbox a few years back, you should know what to expect from this. We very much enjoyed the game, saying “You’re not going to be playing Let Them Come weeks and months down the line. In fact, you may not bother heading back for alien bashing even a couple of days after your purchase, but should you be looking for a game that brings a hugely addictive hit for a single evening, then Let Them Come is well worth checking out.” in review.

A Reunion of Developers and Publishers

This isn’t the first time Tuatara Games and Digital Bandidos have teamed up. “It’s great to be partnered with the talented team at Digital Bandidos, who I’ve had the pleasure of working with before on a previous title in the Let Them Come franchise,” said Klemen Lozar, Game Director at Tuatara Games. “We’re very excited to be bringing the game to a wide audience by hitting all the major platforms: Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and the Switch.

Digital Bandidos CEO Steve Escalante also chimed in, highlighting the importance of relationships in the industry: “You always hope that the teams you work with in the past would like to work with you again. Relationships in this industry are critical… Having already signed a former team with Soulstone Survivors and adding Let Them Come: Onslaught to our slate supports two company goals. First, sign games that can cross-promote each other through a shared audience. And second, work with people you like, know they can deliver, and can create amazing game experiences.

He added, “Although Soulstone Survivors and Let Them Come: Onslaught both fit in the survivors-like/bullet heaven genre, each unleashes a uniquely electrifying spin on the formula. Fans of the genre can expect explosive action and intense challenges, quickly discovering that each title’s distinct tone, style, and gameplay ensures two completely different—and equally thrilling—experiences.
