NinjaBee have just officially announced their first Xbox One title and with it, they’ve dropped a trailer and a release date….and it’s sooner than you think!

Depending on how you look at things, Nutjitsu could be just another elaborate Pac-Man clone or an absolute soar away success. We’re thinking (and seriously hoping), it will be the latter.

A top-down arcade acorn snatcher, Nutjitsu follows the story of a ninja squirrel out on a mission to reclaim all the magical acorns from those evil samurai foxes. You’ll need to sneak through some gorgeous hand painted levels as you dodge the enemy foxes who will have a number of special powers available to them. Use your own smoke bombs, speed potions, freeze bombs, shadow clones and flame shields to outwit the pesky enemy and retrieve those acorns.

With NinjaBee having a long rich history of Xbox titles, we’re hoping their foray onto the Xbox One will turn out to be just as exciting as when they first appeared on Xbox 360 with the Keflings games.

Nutjitsu will be out on Xbox One this spring. We’ll let you know as soon as we have a firmer release date.

Update: Nutjitsu will be released on Xbox One on Thursday 8th May 2014, for a rather superb bargain price of $6.49. We’ll let you know asap how much that will convert to for the UK and Europe but all signs are it shouldn’t be missed.

Update 2: Nutjitsu is now out….in the US at least! It seems the rest of the world won’t be seeing it until certification and ratings issues have been resolved. It’s a bit of a shame because we wanted to grab a look at this and now it seems we must wait. Waiting is bad!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
