Nope, we don’t know what happened to Of Tanks and Demons I or II either, but that is of no worry now that Victory Road have pushed out Of Tanks and Demons III to Xbox One. And yep, that third entry seems to be as good a place as any to start if you’re looking for a new gaming experience that will see you hunting down multiple hordes of hellish demons.
Sold as ‘the new game with the vibe of classic arcades of the 80’s’, Of Tanks and Demons III on Xbox One will set you back £4.19 in price, but from there on out you’ll be whisked to a world of tanks and demons, shooting the latter and buying the former as you go. This is no World of Tanks though.
Of Tanks and Demons III is actually set at the latter end of the year 2020, as the worst thing in the history of mankind has come to the fore. In that respect it’s fast mirroring reality, as the gates of Hell have opened and all madness has been unleashed. Thankfully, things then take a virtual turn that we hope not to see in the real world as hordes of demons run riot, attempting to takeover Earth.
This is where you come in, hoping in a variety of tanks that have new photon weapons installed, tasked with the sole objective of driving the demon scum back to where they came from. Silly? Yes. But hey, that’s why we game, isn’t it? If you wish to grab a copy of Of Tanks and Demons III on Xbox One and reckon there is nothing better than pushing back the hordes from Hell, then you’ll be best served by visiting the Xbox Store and taking home a digital copy. Sometimes you need to outsmart your enemy, not just outgun them with bullets. In the end of 2020 the worst thing in history of mankind has happened — gates of Hell has opened and let the hellish hordes of demons run wildly on Earth. For the hellspawns the human weapons was not much of a threat, just like peashooter versus elephant. It looked like the human race has no hope left for survival. But in the darkest hour the glimpse of hope, the ray of light appeared, and so it happened: the group of american scientists with Dr. Gusev as their lead scientist invented the special photon cannons, that can easily tear demon flesh apart. New photon weapons were installed on advanced tank models, created by Greenrunner Industries corporation. But there was a problem with tanks — they can be operated only by those who created it. These people were genius engineers of their time, but when they opposed the government they were imprisoned as war criminals. But facing the total destruction of all life on Earth the government decided to make a compromise. Now there is only one way for Travis Greenrunner and his people to get their freedom back — to drive away the demon scum to the place they crawled out from!
