NeoSprint is GO!

Having first appeared back in the 1970s, as one of the very finest of arcade racing machines, the Sprint Series is back, as NeoSprint is go!

Get Sprinting

Available today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, all thanks to the Atari and Headless Chicken Games teams is NeoSprint. It’s all racing onto PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC if you so prefer.

Priced at £19.99, if you are old enough to remember the Sprint Series of games, then your memories are probably already rich. But NeoSprint is here to provide all new fun, as you tackles the single-screen races, proving yourself as champion of the Neo world.

A Campaign mode will keep you busy for a little while, with that complemented by Grand Prix, Obstacle Course and Time Trial options. There’s some local multiplayer too (although we’d have loved online!), as well as a Track Builder that will let your imagination run roit. It’s nice then that you can share your circuit creations with the world.

Key game features

An isometric viewpoint powers NeoSprint, with a host of other features key to the success of this one, the glow of the visuals being one…

  • Isometric Arcade Action: Precise controls with an arcade feel makes NeoSprint gameplay easy to pick up but hard to master. Learn the intricacies of drifting and drafting to pull ahead across a dazzling array of pre-made and player-created racetracks.
  • Robust Track-Building and Sharing: Design twisting, turning tracks with a deep, customizable track builder. Build ramps, jumps, banks and more, and add a variety of scenery and decorations to make your track unique. Four different biomes – forest, desert, winter, and city – bring a completely different look. Easy tools to share and rank your tracks – and try others tracks – ensuring endless hours of new, exhilarating content.
  • A Lineup Built for Speed: Featuring 9 different car types, from muscle to sports car, all with their own speed, acceleration and handling. Each car is customizable with different colors and Atari-themed decals. Customize your lineup and get racing!
  • Campaign Mode: For those playing solo, challenge 8 different rival racers in NeoSprint’s campaign mode. Travel through multiple Cups with increasingly difficult tracks. As you progress, unlock new decorations and car liveries.
  • Alternate Game Modes: Grand Prix mode allows you to build bespoke circuits from your own tracks, or tracks downloaded by the community. Additionally, Obstacle Courses and Time Trials provide hours of racing fun after completing the Campaign.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
