Knights Night
Knights Night – out now on console

The kingdom is in peril, an evil wizard has seized power, and only one courageous knight can save the land in Knight’s Night!

This is a retro precision platformer presented in a striking 1-bit black-and-white style – and it has launched on console.

Developed by NipoBox and published by Eastasiasoft, this challenging adventure is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch for the budget-friendly price of around ÂŁ4.19.

Get ready to run, jump, dash, and hop on enemy heads in a quest to restore peace and light to a world plunged into darkness.

A Kingdom Cloaked in Monochrome Peril

The premise of Knight’s Night! is classic and compelling: an evil wizard has overthrown the rightful rulers, and the land teeters on the brink of destruction. This is no Shovel Knight

It’s up to you, a valiant knight, to journey through treacherous lands, overcome dastardly traps, and ultimately confront the wizard in his castle to save the kingdom.

Jump, Dash, and Dodge Your Way Through Darkness

This is a pure, no-nonsense precision platformer that demands skill and timing. You’ll navigate 25 meticulously crafted side-scrolling stages, each filled with unique challenges.

Your adventure will take you through dark forests, mazelike caverns, and crumbled, perilous ruins.

As you progress, you’ll unlock new abilities like air dashes and double jumps, essential for tackling tougher sections and reaching hidden areas. Keen-eyed players will also be rewarded for carefully searching each stage for secret collectables. Along the way, you’ll meet and converse with unique characters, utilise springboards to reach higher platforms, and navigate intricate underground tunnels.

What immediately sets Knight’s Night! apart is its distinctive 1-bit black-and-white retro pixel art style. But don’t let the minimalist aesthetic fool you; the game boasts fluid pixel art animation and, crucially for a precision platformer, super-tight controls, ensuring that every jump and dash feels responsive.

Key Features of Your Knightly Quest

Knight’s Night! challenges you to master 25 levels of precision platforming as a courageous knight on a quest to save the kingdom. You’ll traverse dark forests, mazelike caverns, and crumbled ruins, gaining new abilities like air dashes and double jumps.

Best of all comes the chance to explore diligently to find hidden collectables and enjoy the old-school retro 1-bit pixel art with its fluid animation and super-tight controls.

Can You Restore Light to the Land?

Knight’s Night! looks to be a treat for fans of challenging, retro-inspired platformers who appreciate a unique visual style and a focus on pure gameplay.

If you’re ready to test your skills against an evil wizard and his perilous domain, it’s available right now on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.

Good luck, brave knight.
