There are few things in life more frustrating than trying to fit an entire room’s worth of belongings into a car boot that’s clearly too small. Most of us have been there. The boxes are stacked, the clock is ticking, and somehow that one awkward lamp simply refuses to fit. One Move Away takes that familiar experience and transforms it into the foundation for a charming new puzzle game, available now on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Play Anywhere, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
Priced at ÂŁ13.99, this latest release from Playstack and Ramage Games is built around a simple idea: making everything fit.

More Than Just Packing Boxes
At first glance, One Move Away might look like another cosy organisation game. And to a degree, it is. But beneath the calming visuals sits a puzzle game that asks players to think carefully about space, shape and placement. Every box, chair, suitcase and treasured possession needs to find a home, and there are only so many ways to make everything squeeze together neatly.
The premise follows three different characters as they navigate key moments in their lives. With every move comes a new challenge, a new collection of belongings, and a fresh puzzle to solve.
The appeal comes from that same satisfaction people get from tidying a room, organising a shelf or successfully loading a car for a holiday. Every item can be rotated, repositioned and carefully slotted into place. Some players will approach each challenge with military precision, while others may simply throw everything in and hope the boot closes. Both approaches are valid. One is just considerably more successful than the other.
As the game progresses, the puzzles become larger and more complicated, introducing increasingly awkward shapes and tighter space restrictions that demand a little more thought.
