Bet you thought Team17 and Ghost Town Games were done with Overcooked! after the launch of the All You Can Eat edition, eh? Think again because today they are serving up some all-new meals, chefs and more in the World Food Festival update.

Launching today as part of the Overcooked! All You Can Eat World Food Festival update come a host of new levels, new themes, some new chefs and a couple of new recipes, twisting up what was previously already in place.

It rolls out to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC players as the World Food Festival update continues to build on the brilliance of Overcooked!.

What are you getting? Well, the three new themes come in the form of The Metro Mash, Baked Bazaar and Pepper Plaza, with budding chefs able to rustle up the chicken bobotie and paneer curry should their cooking skills allow.

Alongside that are a couple of new chefs too. We’re getting the community requested Fox Chef and Globe Chef (and fish chef skin) donning their aprons as an all-new gameplay mechanic jumps to the fore too. Yep, this replicates modern app-based food delivery services and causes service to grind to a halt until waiting take-away orders are completed and sent on their way.

When you consider that Team17 and Ghost Town Games are also adding in additional accessibility and assist options with this free update, there could possibly be no better time than no to jump into the heat of the Overcooked! All You Can Eat kitchen. The new and improved assist mode is accessible at any point and offers up the ability to skip levels; increase order and level timers; increase recipe scores; toggle order times on/off; shorten player respawn times; make food harder to burn; turn off burning entirely; and several other options allowing players to customise their gameplay.

You can find Overcooked! All You Can Eat over on the usual digital stores. We’ll point you to the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but this is also on PlayStation, Switch and PC.

Let us know if the new World Food Festival update will drag you back in.
