Being an Xbox One gamer is great. Not only do we get access to a whole host of Triple-A titles on a regular basis, but the Indie scene is most definitely alive and well, ensuring that there is a game type for everyone. Occasionally a game comes along that is slightly different to what we are used to and that was most definitely the case when Oxenfree rocked up on Xbox One way back at the start of 2016.
It certainly wasn’t going to be a title that catered for everyone’s tastes, but it still delivered a considerable experience that was going to get us thinking. Now though, thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme, Oxenfree is well, free. And you really should be getting involved.
Usually priced at £15.99, the removal of Oxenfree’s price for all Xbox Live Gold members is a good one. You see, it gives all those who previously thought ‘What the hell is this?’ the chance to experience the story telling, the adventure and the hardcore exploration that is found in Oxenfree. With a delightful art style, creepy sound effects and a stunning story, it really is something you should seriously think about taking in.
