It was always high up the list of eras and locations. Assassin’s Creed takes a leaf out of Kratos’s book and charts a course for Viking lands, bringing us Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. You couldn’t ask for a more bombastic launch game, really, and if you could only pick one title for the Xbox Series X/S launch day, then Valhalla might well be your epic sandbox of choice. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam.
Apparently there’s a lot occurring on 10th November already, with a new console releasing or something, and now Ubisoft want to make it an even more memorable date by bringing forward the release date of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Indeed, it will coincide with the Xbox Series X launch and is joined by Watch Dogs: Legion as a ‘launch title’. Don’t worry though, for it’s also coming to the current generation of consoles, PC and - once it is unveiled - PlayStation 5.
Celebrating almost 11 years since the release of the first Assassin’s Creed game featuring the master Assassin himself, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, comes a new book from Hachette Partworks, claiming to be "The Complete Character Guide".

Forget the latest instalments of the Assassin’s Creed series – like Odyssey and Origins – for it’s time to reminisce about Assassin’s Creed III, which is now available in remastered form on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue may be regularly known as the little brother of the arguably disappointing Unity, but the opportunity to explore the Assassin's Creed franchise from the eyes of an infamous Templar is one that should never go amiss - especially when it is free to download.
After the launch of the series opening entry back in 2007, Assassin’s Creed has become a behemoth of the industry, and Ubisoft's flagship franchise. The series, which now ranks as one of the highest selling of all time, has spawned all kinds of additional tie ins, including novels, an ill fated film, and a variety of comics, which began in 2015. Since then, several arcs have been released, which have largely been well received. The complete collection of Assassin's Creed Conspiracies is the newest entry here, but is it actually any good?
Ah, good old Assassin’s Creed. Within you we can confide in some stellar stealth experiences, and a great ongoing story, all with a dash of history thrown in for good measure. The war waged between the Assassins and Templars has literally gone on for millennia, gripping gamers ever since the original Assassin’s Creed debuted in 2007. But as timeless as this rivalry is, one question needs to be resolved - which is the best Assassin’s Creed title?
I feel that in this last year I've lived most of my life in ancient Egypt. See, after playing over 90 hours of Assassin's Creed Origins and now delving into the fascinating world of the comic spinoffs, it's turned out to be a rather brilliant place to spend a lot of time in... except for the murders, assassinations and political turmoil of course.
