But Murder Diaries 3 is also trying something new, as we head off on a journey that takes us off on Santa's Trail of Blood.
Murder Diaries 2 takes a tiny step up from the original game, moves the narrative on by splitting it between two protagonists and asks some good questions on morality. The more abstract-level designs are appreciated, but once again it’s frustrating that old assets push things along.
EpiXR Games are beginning to make a bit of a name for themselves. With the Aery series in their back catalogue, and Life of Fly kicking around alongside it, they know how to make a pretty relaxing, pretty chilled affair. So we're not really sure what they are up to with Murder Diaries.
Hitchhiker may not be a game that is able to give you all the answers you want, but it will take you on an incredible journal that focuses on relationships, love, life, and death. It's a story about everything and nothing... and it's brilliant.
