Grab your gear, for Crawlers and Brawlers is going to take you on a new journey, deep underground as you crawl through a waves of randomly generated 8-bit dungeons, all in the hope of becoming the greatest adventurer the world has seen.
Crawlers and Brawlers on Xbox One is an interesting proposition. With randomly generated dungeons, you'll never play the same game twice, which adds greatly to the longevity. The game is fast, fun and, above all else, enjoyable, whether you are following the story, crawling for loot, or battling a horde in the Arena. I'm less sure about the Brawl mode, but feel sure that some will enjoy it, but as an overall experience it’s easy to recommend this game to both fans of Diablo and those looking for something a little bit retro to scratch that 8-bit itch.
So, what is Carnage Tower? Well first of all it’s worth noting that it’s a work in progress, that much is made clear from the initial load up screen, but nevertheless the goal is simple. Carnage Tower consists of 100 floors from bottom to top, each one randomly generated.
For those of you yet to hear of Infected Shelter, it’s a side-scrolling roguelike brawler that’s currently available in Early Access on Steam and is slated for an Xbox One release later this year. Players will select from the unlikely survivors and head out into the randomly generated and bandit littered/zombie infected remains of humanity, collecting blueprints and pulling off crazy skills and combos along the way.
It has been ages since I have found a game so enthralling as IronOak’s first release. For The King comes jam packed with content and with five different game modes, there is a ton to do and even more to explore in the randomly generated worlds. And thankfully, this is all supported by a solid framework. While some aspects work better than others, For The King is more than worth the entry price.
Survival strategy? Check. Randomly Generated Maps? Double check. Billions of zombies? Triple check. Yep, that's right, They Are Billions is coming and if you're not yet bored of the whole zombie outbreak, then this is certainly a game you'll want to check out.
After finding critical success when released for PSVR in August of 2018, Tribetoy has ported Bow to Blood: Last Captain Standing to the traditional console experience. Expanding on their previous release, you find yourself commanding your airship through up to 10 different levels with randomly generated missions. In order to make it out on top you have to create alliances, cripple your enemies and turn your back on those asking for help. But is there enough in Bow to Blood to differentiate itself from other rogue-lites? Or is it destined to sink below the mist?
Coming from developers Ludomotion is a new entry in the roguelite genre - UnExplored: Unlocked Edition.
