There’s cheap, and then there’s Panic Ball! on Xbox Play Anywhere cheap.
At just ÂŁ1.69, Panic Ball! arrives on Xbox very much like one of those impulse-buy games you grab without thinking too hard – only to suddenly realise you’ve spent the next hour restarting levels because you know you can shave half a second off your best run.
Available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support, this fast-paced platformer from Entity3 is all about speed, reflexes and surviving absolute chaos as a tiny rolling ball.

Fast Levels, Tight Controls, Constant Panic
Panic Ball! wastes absolutely no time getting moving. You control a small ball racing through short 2D stages filled with hazards, awkward jumps and very little room for error. The focus is entirely on momentum and precision, with levels designed to be completed quickly – assuming you can survive them.
And you probably won’t on the first attempt. Or the fifth.
The whole thing has that old-school arcade mentality where failure comes fast, restarts are instant and every run quietly dares you to do better next time.
100 Levels For Less Than A Coffee
For £1.69, there’s a decent amount packed in here too.
The main mode includes 100 handcrafted stages, all built around improving your times and mastering the movement system. There’s also an endless mode featuring randomly selected levels that gradually ramp up the difficulty the longer you survive.
That means Panic Ball! feels less like a quick gimmick and more like the sort of game speedrunning fans could easily sink time into chasing cleaner runs and faster clears.
When a game costs less than two quid while offering that kind of addictive retry loop, it becomes very easy to recommend. Download Panic Ball! from the Xbox Store right now.
