Prepare for friends and family members to turn into your greatest foes in the multiplayer madness of Big Crown: Showdown, which has now been stripped off its price tag on Xbox One and is free thanks to Games With Gold. Surely it’s worth a look as you can never have too many party games, right?
Big Crown: Showdown rocked up on Xbox One at the very end of last year, bringing with it a quartet of characters known as the Grumblegard. They’ve been cast out of the Kingdom by an evil wizard and it’s down to you to guide one of these knights through hazard-laden courses in order to claim the much-coveted crown, thus reclaiming their status. Up to three of your fellow gamers will join you in this task, either locally and online, which opens up the opportunity to cause mischief by punching each other in death traps. Trust no one when there’s a prize on the line!
Whilst it’s a party game that’s very easy to pick up and play, our review of Big Crown: Showdown exposed a fair few flaws to the experience. Fortunately, one of those may be solved when a mass of people start playing it online now it’s free, as it was nigh-on impossible to find a single opponent previously. And seeing as a download of Big Crown: Showdown from the Xbox Store won’t cost Xbox Live Gold members a penny, courtesy of Games With Gold scheme for July, then there’s no harm in giving it a quick blast.
