The Running Fable universe is back, but this time it’s all about dice rolls, mini-games, and unapologetic mayhem in Running Fable Petite Party.
Now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, priced at £11.74, this one comes to town delivering a party-focused spin-off that trades straight-line racing for unpredictable tabletop chaos.
Developed and published by Seashell Studio, Running Fable Petite Party leans hard into competitive antics, encouraging players to taunt friends, sabotage rivals, and embrace the kind of friendly betrayal that only party games seem capable of creating.
A Tabletop Twist On Familiar Chaos
Rather than sticking closely to the online racing foundations of the original Running Fable, Petite Party spins the formula into something far more board-game inspired.
Players move across competitive tabletop boards, triggering events and diving into one of 16 fast-paced mini-games where anything can, and usually does, go wrong.
Each round is short, sharp, and deliberately chaotic, built to keep tension high and outcomes unpredictable. Victory is never guaranteed, and luck often plays as big a role as skill.
Mini-Games Built For Rivalries
The mini-games themselves cover a mix of reflex challenges, balance tests, and outright sabotage, designed to be accessible but volatile. Easy-to-learn controls mean anyone can jump in, but success often depends on timing, positioning, and a willingness to play dirty.
Whether played solo or with up to four players, Running Fable Petite Party thrives on its ability to spark rivalry, laughter, and more than a few raised voices along the way.

How It Sits Within The Running Fable Legacy
Back in 2023, we described the original Running Fable as “cheap and cheerful,” noting that it lived or died on its multiplayer appeal and quick-hit fun.
Running Fable Petite Party takes that multiplayer-first mentality and pushes it further into party-game territory. However, its reception has been mixed. In our Running Fable Petite Party review, which scored 2.5/5, we concluded: “Fans of Running Fable will be let down, party-game players will find it too stripped back, and families will be embroiled in arguments. Genuinely, we haven’t a clue who Running Fable Petite Party is made for.”
A Party Game That Embraces The Chaos
Running Fable Petite Party doesn’t pretend to be subtle. It’s loud, unpredictable, and unapologetically designed to stir competition, whether that ends in laughter or grudges that last long after the controller is put down.
Now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One through the Xbox Store, it offers a very different flavour of Running Fable; one that swaps racing lanes for dice rolls and turns every match into a test of friendships.
