A New Rescue Awaits On Dino Island

Mayor Humdinger has managed to stir up trouble once again, this time on Dino Island. With frightened dinosaurs scattered across the island, it’s up to Ryder, Rex and the PAW Patrol to restore order before things spiral completely out of control.

Players can explore four distinct regions – The Shore, The Jungle, Dino Plains and The Volcano – completing rescue missions, solving environmental puzzles and uncovering hidden collectibles along the way.

As you’d expect, all six of the main pups are playable. Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma each bring their own special abilities and vehicles, with players able to switch between them whenever the mission calls for a different approach.

Plenty To Discover Beyond The Main Missions

Exploration plays a much bigger role than simply racing from one rescue to the next.

Hidden treasure chests, pup treats and dinosaur eggs are scattered throughout Dino Island, unlocking new cosmetic items for both the pups and their vehicles. You’ll also be able to visit the Paleo Center, where dino experts Heidi and Eugenia help you care for your growing collection of prehistoric friends by decorating their enclosures and making them feel at home.

Local two-player co-op is included too, making it easy for siblings, parents and children to tackle the adventure together. Something that is pretty essential for a PAW Patrol game.

“Working with Nickelodeon on PAW Patrol continues to be a wonderful opportunity for the team, so we’re thrilled to see PAW Patrol: Dino World launch today,” says Robin Flodin, CEO of Outright Games Group. “From the start, our goal was to create an accessible and engaging adventure that captures the spirit of the franchise. We’re excited for families around the world to finally be able to experience the adventure for themselves.”

Another Big Step For PAW Patrol Games?

We’ve covered plenty of PAW Patrol games over the years, and PAW Patrol World remains one of the stronger entries. In our 3.5/5 review, we concluded: “PAW Patrol World isn’t made for us adults. It’s Adventure Bay and surrounding areas, with all of the barriers removed. It’s a glorious playset, the entire TV series ready for kids to reach in and enjoy.

With an open-world setting, familiar characters and a strong focus on exploration and co-operative play, PAW Patrol: Dino World looks set to be another accessible adventure for younger players and families.

It’s available now on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, priced at ÂŁ34.99 via the Xbox Store.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
