It’s already gone down great with the PC community but now the unique action-RPG beauty of Tower of Time has been confirmed for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4.

If you’re looking to bend time and prepare battle tactics all in order to survive the deadly floors of the Tower of Time, then 2020 is going to be the year for you. See, it is then which Digerati and the development team at Event Horizon will be launching their game to console.

Currently sitting with a 9/10 rating on Steam the console version of Tower of Time will launch with a revised control scheme developed specifically for gamepads, alongside new game modes which were originally added to the PC version earlier this year, introducing an ultra-challenging ‘Permadeath’ mode and a more accessible ‘RPGlite’ mode.

Promising nothing short of a sprawling 50+ hour adventure featuring gorgeous hand-crafted environments, story-rich dungeon crawling, flexible character development, and a unique Arrow-Time combat system that lets players pause or slow down time, allowing for unprecedented tactical depth, Tower of Time looks to be hugely intriguing. Even more so as you learn how things begin to play out. And it is this game which will see you leading the ultimate party of heroes into the Tower of Time, a vertical battleground filled with lore, mystery, and combat. By combining the nuances of classic RPGs with challenging tactical combat, Tower of Time transforms each battle into a puzzle of magic and mettle, allowing you to slow or pause time to plan your every move, strategically place your warriors, control the battleground with precise spells, and counter incoming waves with devastating manoeuvres.

The key features of Tower of Time on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 include:

  • 7 distinct classes, a complex skill system, rich equipment and alignment systems, crafting, enchanting and more
  • Divide the battlefield with walls of stone, manipulate gravity, unleash torrents of flame, and more with myriad spells
  • 150 different enemies and 50 bosses, each with unique skills and tactics
  • Hand-crafted levels, unique Combat Challenges, multiple modifiers and five difficulty levels
  • Gamepad friendly control scheme implemented for console players

If you don’t mind dipping your toes in the PC water then heading to Steam right now will give you the best understanding of what Tower of Time is all about. Other than that though, you’ll need to hold tight for the launch of the game on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2020. We’ll of course bring you as many details in the meantime as possible.

The trailer below should help too.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
