Love the award-winning Peaky Blinders and reckon there is room in your life for another puzzle-adventure? Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC and today the team at Curve Digital have confirmed the release date. You won’t have to wait too long to get involved either.
It’s fair to say that Peaky Blinders has gone down a storm with the television watching audience, but come August 20th 2020 it’ll be the turn of gamers to fall into the lives of the Shelby family.
No matter whether you are looking to play through things on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind will give you the opportunity to plan and enact strategies by taking charge of the most key members of the Shelby family, working simultaneously over the same timeline. Moving characters into position and working your way past challenging scenarios in this puzzle-adventure will all be par for the course.
You’ll be able to fine tune your movements too, rewinding where the need arises and tactically working to ensure that the ever increasingly tricky puzzles are easily solved.
In order to celebrate this release announcement, a brand new trailer has emerged, featuring the vocal talents of Cillian Murphy, who plays the show’s lead, Tommy Shelby. You can see it below these words.
According to James Marsden, Game Director at FuturLab, the game is a creative interpretation of the world the TV show has created. “It’s been an honour to be trusted with the Peaky Blinders license,” says Marsden. “our team has created a game that reflects the heart of what makes the show compelling: Tommy Shelby’s ability to manipulate friends, family and foes in the pursuit of his master plan.”
Anil Mistry, Director of Gaming & ECommerce, ESG said “We are thrilled to be partnering with Curve and FuturLab in making the first official Peaky Blinders game. Futurlab has faithfully re-created the Peaky Blinders’ universe and having Cillian provide the voiceover adds a real sense of authenticity to this game. Hopefully, fans of the show and gamers alike will be excited to get their thinking caps on and enjoy this compelling puzzle adventure like no other.”
Caryn Mandabach Productions’ Jamie Glazebrook, executive producer of all five series of Peaky Blinders, who was involved in reviewing the creative for the game, said “The trailer dropped in my inbox, and I watched it five times in a row. It blew me away. And it’s Peaky Blinders through and through. I can’t wait for players to experience this incredible game“.
If you’re sold on what Peaky Blinders: Mastermind looks set to deliver to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (you can wishlist it right now) then mid-August probably can’t come soon enough. We’ll be sure to remind you when that time does arrive but expect to pay around £19.99 to get involved.
