PGA TOUR 2K25 is teeing up a big second year, with 2K officially rolling out new premium editions alongside a packed Year 2 roadmap that promises fresh Seasons, free Major Championship courses and meaningful upgrades for MyPLAYER fans.
Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam – with Nintendo Switch 2 joining the fairway in February 2026 – the acclaimed golf sim is far from done chasing greatness.
Following a strong reception at launch, PGA TOUR 2K25 now expands its offering with the digital-only Legend Edition Year 2 and Pro Edition, each designed to help players hit the ground running while unlocking months of future content.
A Quick Look At What’s New In PGA TOUR 2K25 Year 2
- Two new premium editions available now
- Three new Seasons and Clubhouse Passes confirmed
- Free 2026 Major Championship courses arriving across the year
- New Pro Accelerator Pack to boost early MyPLAYER progression
- Nintendo Switch 2 version launching February 6, 2026
- New Editions Designed For Faster Progression
Both new editions build on existing versions of PGA TOUR 2K25, but add new incentives aimed squarely at players who want to compete at a high level without a lengthy grind.
The Pro Edition enhances the former Deluxe Edition with the addition of the Pro Accelerator Pack (ÂŁ26.99), offering a sizeable VC boost, Level Up Tokens and equipment upgrades. It also includes premium cosmetic content, from adidas collaborations to Titleist and FootJoy gear.
Meanwhile, the Legend Edition Year 2 goes all-in. Alongside everything found in the Pro Edition, it bundles both the Year 1 and Year 2 Member’s Passes, unlocking Clubhouse Pass Premium rewards all the way through Seasons 1 to 8. Players also gain access to exclusive cosmetic packs and gear drops delivered at the start of each new Season.
For those already deep into the fairways of PGA TOUR 2K25, the Pro Accelerator Pack and Year 2 Member’s Pass can also be purchased separately.
2026 Major Championships Arrive Free For All Players
Arguably the biggest news for returning players is the confirmation of three 2026 Major Championship courses, all arriving as free updates throughout the year.
Season 5, launching January 21th, 2026, introduces the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club, a course previously seen in PGA TOUR 2K21. Later Seasons will add the 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club and The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale Golf Club, with the latter making its franchise debut.
Each Major course will be automatically added to the game at no extra cost, ensuring every player gets access to golf’s biggest stages.
Seasons, Clubhouse Passes And New Gear
Year 2 also brings three additional Seasons, each continuing the live-service approach PGA TOUR 2K25 has leaned into since launch. Season 5 introduces new equipment upgrade tiers, including Galactic Amber and Tiger’s Eye, alongside a renewed focus on shot-shaping through the Sculptor archetype.
Future Seasons will reset Ranked Leaderboards, expand equipment progression and deliver fresh Clubhouse Pass rewards. As before, each Clubhouse Pass remains available to complete even after new Seasons begin, letting players progress at their own pace.
A Strong Foundation Worth Building On
When we reviewed PGA TOUR 2K25, we awarded it a 4.5/5, calling it one of the finest golf games available today:
“For us, we think PGA TOUR 2K25 is amongst the very best golf games currently on the market. It’s full of charm, plays really well and looks great. Perhaps the microtransactions are a little too in the face, but at no point do you have to succumb to the opening of a wallet.”
With Year 2 content now firmly mapped out, PGA TOUR 2K25 looks set to maintain its momentum well into 2026 – and for golf fans, that’s a round well worth playing.
