Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, Weapon of Choice DX from Mommy’s Best Games isn’t a Fatboy Slim love-in. But it really should be.
Priced at £4.99 from the Xbox Store (prices WILL vary elsewhere), Weapon of Choice DX is a side-scrolling run ‘n’ gunning shooter with intense energy. So much so in fact that throughout this adventure you’ll be found blasting the most insane of aliens, working branching paths in order to discover multiple endings, and, most importantly, harnessing the power of your weapon of choice.
In Weapon of Choice DX you can blow with this, and you can blow with that, but whatever you decide to run with, you’ll not want to be shocked by the power that you are given. You see, there’s a ton of good stuff going down here, including jet-engine guns, plasma-saws, limpet nades and more.
And this DX version of Weapon of Choice has not only been rebalanced to ensure a fair challenge, but plays host to a ton of secrets, some glorious 4K 60fps art and the most hardcore of heavy guitar sounds. Perhaps none of it will be as catchy as ol’ Norm’s classic, but we’re up for giving that soundtrack a listen no matter what.
