Planet Coaster: Console Edition can already claim to deliver hundreds of hours of gameplay to Xbox and PlayStation customers, with the deep base game and plethora of multiple content packs allowing you to make the park of your dreams. But we all know that it’s the movies that are able to create the biggest of dreams and so the arrival of the Ghostbusters and Studios DLC packs should be able to cover those bases too.
Available to purchase and add in to your Planet Coaster: Console Edition on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 or PS5 right now the Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters and the Studio Pack will let players enhance their parks like never before.

Split into two separate packs, we’ll take the Ghostbusters option first – mostly as, well, it’s Ghostbusters, isn’t it! Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters will set you back £12.99, but in return for providing Frontier Developments some of your finest cash, they’ll deliver you some equally decent content. Sold as the ultimate love letter to the hit film, Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters comes complete with the vocal glories of Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton as an all-new story driven scenario plays out.Â
That’s not all though and to keep you equally busy are numerous sceneray pieces and sound effects that have been ripped straight from the original film from 1984. Expect to see and hear the iconic ECTO-1, Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ghostbusters HQ and Spook Central all thrown in. Those in themselves should allow for a ton of extra customisation to Planet Coaster: Console Edition.
But there’s more and that asking price seems to fit what we are being given as a new set of blueprints come into play, as do new building materials, along with a new flat ride and a coaster in the form of the RollerGhoster and The Ghostbusters Experience. Not only will you be riding in ECTO-1 in the latter, but you’ll be able to fire off some Proton Packs too.
Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters is certainly the stand out option here, but the Studios pack is well worth looking at too. This is priced at £7.99 and will see you given more than 90 additional blueprints, hundreds of items and construction pieces, and no less than three new rides – the Big Screen Tour, Re-Motion and Horror Heights.Â
Our full reviews of both the Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters and Studios Pack will be delivered the way of your eyes in the days ahead – just as soon as we’ve worked our way through the slew of new content they include. For now though if you’re a Planet Coaster: Console Edition fan, and think these are of interest, get over to the Xbox Store if you’re playing on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, or the PlayStation Store for those on PS4 or PS5.
