Word Quest Cyberpunk – now on Xbox

The Word Quest series isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and now Word Quest: Cyberpunk plugs into Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with another budget-friendly word search experience.

Priced at just ÂŁ1.69, it once again delivers a low-cost puzzle fix, this time wrapped in glowing neon and dystopian vibes.

Following on from previous entries like Word Quest Fantasy and Word Quest Medieval, the formula remains firmly intact. The setting may have shifted to a futuristic cityscape, but the core idea is exactly what you would expect.

At A Glance

  • Game: Word Quest: Cyberpunk
  • Developer/Publisher: Gametry LLC
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
  • Price: ÂŁ1.69
  • Game Type: Word Puzzle / Word Search

A New Skin On A Familiar System

Word Quest: Cyberpunk drops players into a neon-soaked world of rogue AI and digital underworld intrigue. At least, that is the theme. In practice, this is very much a classic word search game at heart.

You will be connecting letters, spotting hidden words and working your way through a series of puzzles that gradually increase in complexity. The cyberpunk aesthetic adds a bit of flavour, with glowing visuals and a light narrative framing the experience, but the gameplay loop stays consistent throughout.

If you have played any of the previous entries, you will know exactly what you are getting here.

Part Of A Growing Word Quest Line-Up

This latest release joins an ever-expanding catalogue. We have already seen entries like Word Quest Fantasy and Word Quest Medieval arrive on Xbox, each taking the same core idea and applying a new theme.

That approach continues here. The setting changes, the presentation shifts slightly, but the structure remains familiar.

It is worth noting that not every entry has landed perfectly. In our 2/5 review of Word Quest Pirates, we said: “It’s a Groundhog Day of the same puzzles, the same words, and the same layouts.”

That is something you may want to keep in mind, especially if you have already spent time with previous games in the series.

Cheap And Cheerful Puzzle Fix

At ÂŁ1.69, Word Quest: Cyberpunk from the Xbox Store is clearly positioned as a quick, accessible puzzle game. There is no steep learning curve, no complex systems to master, just straightforward word searching with a thematic twist.

The key question, as always with this series, is how much variation the game can offer across its puzzles. For newcomers, this may not be an issue at all. For returning players, the experience may feel a little too familiar.

Either way, the neon lights are on, the grid is ready, and the words are waiting to be found.
