Point and click with Almost My Floor on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

-

almost my floor

Point and click adventures and detective horrors seemingly go hand-in-hand. With the chance to scour scenes, picking out useful clues and advancing with them, the two genres are pretty much a match made in heaven. Almost My Floor then, should be great.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, Almost My Floor is the latest from Sometimes You, as the prolific publishers pick up Potata Company’s point and click detective thriller.

It’s priced at £8.39 and comes with two versions on the Xbox Store. This is standard Sometimes You fare, with a native Xbox One edition and another page for the native Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised version. What you decide to pick up is your choice, but we’d go for the one that is most relevant to your console.

Whichever you decide, you’ll find the same game within. It places you in the shoes of Alex, as they work the fine line betwee fiction and reality, fliting in and out of both in order to find progress and attempt to get to the bottom of what is going on.

But it also has you playing as Detective Adam Trust, the one trying to unravel the madness which unfolds.

What you can be sure of here is that Almost My Floor will deliver a reasonably decent little point and click adventure, one that comes with a multitude of paths to frequent, a host of puzzles to solve and some seriously neat locations to explore. It’s helped along by a comic book art style and the fact that, whatever happens, you can be sure you’ll be kept on your toes.

Key features include:

  • – Two main characters with different perspectives on history
  • – Various paths to pass
  • – Locations and characters drawn in comic book art style
  • – Interesting puzzles that will keep you thinking for a short while
  • – Death awaits at every corner
  • – Monsters will keep living on in your nightmares

Our full review of Almost My Floor on Xbox Series X|S is live and ready for a read. Give it a once over as you wait for the download to take place. You’ll find the copy you need of Almost My Floor on your favoured digital store – Xbox, PlayStation, Switch.

Game Description:

Almost My Floor – point & click detective in a frightening atmosphere of sinister nightmares. Each step may end up fatal. Solve the mystery of the house #9 residents or go crazy. Labyrinth of endless floors will not let go of their victim without a fight. For Alex, this is the story of a long journey home. All that dwells inside exists between fiction and reality. It is time to face the monsters, meet the other house residents and determine their fate. But the most important thing is to escape the depths of terror… and try to remain sane afterwards. For Detective Adam Trust, unraveling secrets is the life’s work. He’s not keen on giving up, so he will learn everything there is to learn about house #9. Although this time, the price of his ambition may end up too high.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
