Rise of Industry 2, the innovative sequel to the hit indie business tycoon game, has officially launched today. It’s been developed by SomaSim and published by Kasedo Games, as this rich and immersive experience is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, challenging budding entrepreneurs to build a corporate empire from the ground up.

You’ll need to pay ÂŁ29.24.

We’ve been anticipating the chance to climb the business ladder with Rise of Industry 2 since its announcement back in 2024, and now the boardroom doors are wide open!

The American Dream, 1980s Style: Innovation & Ambition

Set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing 1980s USA, Rise of Industry 2 tasks you with dominating a competitive industrial landscape. To achieve this, you’ll need to build cutting-edge manufacturing powerhouses and cultivate a Rolodex full of jet-setting business contacts.

Whether you dream of running a hub of automotive production, a world-class winery with sweeping vineyards, a sprawling mining operation, or an aviation enterprise assembling jets for an increasingly interconnected world, the land of opportunity awaits.

Building Your Conglomerate: Deep Tycoon Gameplay

Rise of Industry 2 pushes the boundaries from its predecessor, bringing fresh ideas to the boardroom with significantly expanded gameplay mechanics and a stylish new 1980s art direction. Aspiring tycoons will first need to optimise their production chains by setting up specialised complexes brimming with factories, power plants, industrial furnaces, and farms, all supported by carefully planned utility networks that make strategic use of surrounding natural resources.

The sheer variety of products you can manufacture is vast, ranging from televisions, cameras, vinyl records, and video game consoles for the burgeoning media industry, to vodka, whiskey, and beer from your own distilleries and breweries, not to mention candy, toys, dyes, batteries, and so much more! Once your production lines are humming, you can master the global market, capitalising on emerging opportunities by signing contracts with executives around the world.

Success in the cutthroat 1980s also demands that you forge crucial connections; your social network is vital. Through the new Dynamic Social Connections system, you’ll network with CEOs of other companies to trade materials and finished products, and importantly, gain introductions to their powerful friends and contacts within the industry. Alongside this, you must research new technologies by building labs and setting effective research strategies, which will broaden your horizons and continually improve your production capabilities.

Campaign or Sandbox: Your Path to CEO

Rise of Industry 2 offers two primary ways to play:

  • All-New Campaign Mode: Conquer 15 unique and exciting scenarios as you rise through the corporate ranks, each presenting a different challenge.
  • Expanded Sandbox Mode: Build the industrial empire of your dreams with complete freedom, defining your own path to success.

Key Features

  • Deep Business Tycoon Gameplay: Build and manage intricate production chains in 1980s USA.
  • Diverse Industries: From automotive and aviation to wineries, mining, media (TVs, game consoles), and distilleries.
  • Dynamic Social Connections: Network with CEOs, trade materials, and build relationships.
