There’s some serious noise going down behind Wanted: Dead, 110 Industries’ stylish limb-severing action game. Today the pre-orders open up ahead of a 2023 release and not only can you grab a digital version but a stunning limited Collector’s Edition is also available.
Having been put together by the Japanese studio at Soleil, complete with folk who previously created Ninja Gaiden, Wanted: Dead will release come February 14th 2023 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms, giving players the chance to enjoy the series’ hardcore DNA, pushing back intelligent enemies who will ensure you get to fully master the game’s systems.
It’s a game in which you take on the role of Lt. Hannah Stone, before stepping into a dark and dangerous vision of cyberpunk Hong Kong as leader of the “Zombie Squad”, an elite team who works outside the purview of the traditional police force. From there you’ll have to master Stone’s arsenal of fighting skills and issue orders to her teammates if you’re to uncover a shadowy corporate conspiracy and cut it off at the knees.
To succeed in Wanted: Dead you’ll need to go bout utilizing a blend of melee sword combat, exciting gunplay and a unique limb severing mechanic that changes enemy attack patterns, as the game forces players to learn how to use combos, parries and other tools to full effect. The reward will be aesthetically pleasing bouts of blood and violence and the sense of satisfaction that comes with becoming a flawless fighting machine.
If that all sounds like your bag – and honestly, it should – then you’ll no doubt be interested to hear that the Xbox Store page for Wanted: Dead is now open and ready to take your cash. It’ll cost you £49.99 but will deliver you a game that is fully optimised for the new-gen Xbox Series X|S consoles as well as being playable on Xbox One. The PlayStation and PC stores should do the same.
