Nearly 15 million players have tried to survive in the world of Vigor, but today a new update arrives that promises to push the game to all new levels – Vigor Chronicles: Absolution.
Giving the opportunity for you to obtain absolution through science, Bohemia Interactive are releasing Vigor Chronicles: Absolution, the latest installment for the free-to-play looter-shooter, Vigor. This new update adds in some serious stuff too, introducing a new story for you to enjoy, a new Elimination map that comes with major changes to its game mode, a new radioactive grenade, the L86A1 LSW machine gun, reworkings on various machine guns and a number of quality of life changes.
Bringing the chance to unfold the next chapter, with Vigor Chronicles: Absolution, Bohemia continues to showcase the lore set in the game as part of a larger puzzle. Each update contributes a small piece to that puzzle, which will eventually help players put the bigger picture together. This time, the story is darker and more mysterious, exploring morality and personal values, as well as how easily one can let go of them in a post-apocalyptic world. It follows the research of Dr. Dubois and Dr. Azimov as they stumble upon a dark secret in their search to reverse the effects of radiation. No past remains buried. The question is, what would you do if your morals were shaken?
“This is a story that will eventually provide a lot of information that wasn’t mentioned anywhere before. It will also make the players question the choices made by the characters and see if they would react the same way in that situation. It’s super interesting to listen to, and thought-provoking as well,” says Vigor’s Brand Manager, Filip Stastny.

Vigor is currently available to play, for free, on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. The Xbox Store will let you download the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S version.
