Ultimate Games love a simulator, and on the back of a variety of other options like Farm Mechanic Simulator, comes the confirmation that Priest Simulator will be coming to PC and consoles.
Yeah, we’re not sure exactly what we’ll find in Priest Simulator either, but Ultimate Games are promising it will let you become an unusual priest, as it delivers no less than 100 missions, a grotesque and absurd atmosphere, as well as spectacular clashes with satanists.
Due to debut on PC in 2022, with Priest Simulator then moving to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch after that, if you’re in the market for something a little different, this could well be it. You can also check out a free episode of Priest Simulator in Heavy Duty form on PC right now.
Priest Simulator is being put together by the Polish studio Asmodev – they behind the previously announced Ultimate Summer – as they look to give gamers the chance to take in a single-player game with a first-person view, combining hack ‘n’ slash ideas with mechanics ripped from the finest first person shooters, simulators, renovators and sandbox genres.
It’s here where you’ll take on the role of Orlok – a cunning vampire who accidentally becomes a priest in the village of San de Ville.
Asmodev’s promise a total of 100 different missions to complete, all with a focus on gameplay variety allowing the player to fight satanists, care for parishioners and explore the local village. The game will also deliver the chance to administer sacraments, perform exorcisms, and raise funds for the needs of the church.
“Priest Simulator is a touching story about love and good people. It amuses and teaches, but mostly it teaches. What does it teach? Living in humility, hope and abstinence from soft drugs and shatanism. Thanks to Priest Simulator you will not mistake fear for chastity or anger for courage” – says one of the creators of the game, Michał Jodłowiec.
The key features of Priest Simulator include:
- living as a village vampire-priest;
- fighting shatanists;
- grotesque and absurd atmosphere;
- destroying and shooting;
- mockumentary;
- exploring a large village;
- exorcisms and sacraments;
- phenomenal soundtrack (by the black metal band Gruzja).
Priest Simulator will be released on PC through Steam in 2022, first arriving in Early Access. It’ll then release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch later.
