The grid is filling up with legendary machines, and the calendar is now packed with some of the world’s most feared circuits.
GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios have shifted into top gear at Gamescom, unveiling a slate of major new reveals for their upcoming simulation, Project Motor Racing.
The headline news is a blockbuster partnership with Porsche, alongside the confirmation of iconic tracks like Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the NĂĽrburgring Nordschleife.
A stunning new gameplay trailer also gives us our first look at the game’s “True2Track” technology, showcasing dynamic weather and adaptive racing lines that promise an unprecedented level of realism.
Building on an Already Ambitious Foundation
This latest wave of news adds even more excitement to what is already one of our most anticipated racing sims. Back in June, we were blown away when the developers confirmed a November 25th release date and groundbreaking, full cross-platform mod support for the title.
Now, with the addition of one of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands and a trio of legendary circuits, Project Motor Racing is solidifying its claim as a true heavyweight contender.
Porsche Unleashed: A Lineup of Legends
The iconic crest of Porsche is officially joining the grid in Project Motor Racing, bringing with it a powerhouse lineup of cars that span decades of motorsport glory.
Fans can look forward to getting behind the wheel of some of Porsche’s most famous machines, alongside new arrivals from Aston Martin and Ford:
- Porsche 963 (2023 LMDh)
- Porsche 917K (1970)
- Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
- Porsche 911 GT1-98
- Porsche 962C
- Aston Martin Valkyrie Hypercar (2025)
- Aston Martin AMR Vantage GT3
- Ford Mustang GT4 (2024)
Historic Racing Eras
On top of the new cars, two of sports car racing’s most storied eras – the raw, high-stakes theatre of GT1 and the golden age of prototype endurance racing in Group C – are now also confirmed for the game.
Conquering the Green Hell and Beyond
The already impressive track roster for Project Motor Racing is also expanding with three more laser-scanned legends, bringing the confirmed launch day total to 28 layouts across 18 global locations.
The new additions are a true holy trinity for motorsport fans – even if we do feel like we have raced them a million times already:
- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
- NĂĽrburgring Nordschleife (“The Green Hell”)
- Mount Panorama, Bathurst
A New Level of Realism: ‘True2Track’ Technology
The new gameplay trailer provides our first look at the game’s proprietary “True2Track” technology. This system has been built from the ground up to deliver uncompromising realism on the track surface itself.
It features fully dynamic weather systems and, crucially, adaptive racing lines with authentic drying and drainage behaviour. This means that as the track conditions change, so will the optimal line, forcing drivers to adapt and find the grip just as they would in the real world.
The starting lights are getting brighter with every new reveal for Project Motor Racing. With an incredible lineup of cars and tracks, a revolutionary approach to mod support on console, and a deep commitment to realism, this is shaping up to be an unmissable experience for all sim racing fans.
The final countdown to the November 25th release is on. Expect to find Project Motor Racing on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
