Project Spark is coming to Xbox One in February

2026's Best Games

If you’re a Windows 8 user and jumped in on the PC beta, then you’ve probably had a play with Project Spark already. Good news though, because it’ll soon be available on your Xbox One.

And the even better news is that if you were sent a code for the Win8 version, then the guys at Project Spark will also be sending you one to use on your Xbox One when the XO beta opens in February.

Project Spark allows gamers to create their own games completely from scratch with surprising ease. As with any game, the level of detail all depends on how much time the game ‘creator’ puts into it. Play around for half hour and you’ll be able to come up with something pretty basic, but throw a load of hours into Spark and you’ll be amazed at some of the things you can come up and in a further twist of good luck, anything created on the PC version will be available to play around with on Xbox One, and vice versa!

If you’re interested and haven’t yet signed up, jump over to the Project Spark site right now, sign up and get yourself requesting that beta asap!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
