Afil Games clearly isn’t finished pushing blocks around just yet. Bunny Pit Berry is the latest puzzle adventure from the prolific indie developer, swapping the usual crates of Sokoban for something considerably more appetising – fruit, picnic baskets and an adorable hamster with a job to do.
Available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, with three separate versions, Bunny Pit Berry costs £4.19. It offers another bite-sized logic challenge for players who enjoy taking their time, planning a few moves ahead and experiencing that satisfying moment when a seemingly impossible puzzle suddenly clicks into place.

Another Day, Another Afil Games Puzzle
If you’ve been following Afil Games’ Xbox output over the last few years, the appearance of another Sokoban-style puzzle game probably won’t come as a huge surprise.
They are super prolific with the genre, yet we’ve also seen the developer experiment with the familiar hex-based puzzle formula in games such as Herd Dispatch, while Fading Clouds offered another short and accessible test of planning and movement. Bunny Pit Berry heads back towards the classic box-pushing roots of the genre, although there is something rather more wholesome waiting at the end of each puzzle.
The objective is simple enough: push fruit around the level and get each piece into the picnic basket. Actually getting everything there without blocking yourself off is where the brainwork begins.
Push, Plan And Try Not To Paint Yourself Into A Corner
Bunny Pit Berry takes its inspiration from classic Sokoban, meaning every move matters. Push a piece of fruit into the wrong position and you may find yourself with nowhere useful to go next.
The levels are designed to introduce their ideas gradually, allowing players to get comfortable with the mechanics before things become more demanding. Rather than throwing complicated rules at you immediately, the challenge comes from understanding the space around you and working out the correct sequence of moves.
And then there’s the presentation. Bunny Pit Berry has an unmistakably cute and cosy look, with its hamster protagonist, colourful fruit and springtime setting giving the whole thing a rather gentler feel than some of the more austere Sokoban experiences.
Familiar Ideas With A Fresh Coat Of Spring Paint
There is something almost amusing about seeing just how many different ways Afil Games can build a game around simple movement and pathfinding. We’ve previously looked at Dino Hex Trap, Herd Dispatch and Fading Clouds, with each taking a different approach to accessible puzzle design.
Bunny Pit Berry is perhaps the most immediately recognisable of the bunch. The Sokoban foundations are obvious, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you don’t need an enormous collection of mechanics or a sprawling story. Sometimes you just need a little hamster, a pile of fruit and a puzzle that refuses to be solved in the way you first imagined.
At £4.19, Bunny Pit Berry is another compact option for anyone after a relaxing puzzle game that can be picked up without a huge time commitment.
