We never imagined that the super cheap release of Geometric Sniper on Xbox at the back end of 2022 would have been the start of a fun little franchise. But that’s exactly what we have today as the follow-up allows us the chance to continue shooting down those sights. That game is Geometric Sniper – Blood in Paris.Â
Working pretty much the exact same lines as the original Geometric Sniper, Blood in Paris is another mega-cheap shooter, one in which you’ll be left to hone your sniping skills and perfecting the most magical of moments. Hunting down targets, sighting them up and pulling the trigger is how this works, with Blood in Paris offering up another ten missions for the sharpest shooting snipers.
Priced at the, frankly ridiculous, price of £2.49, discounted to £1.99 if you’re quick, Geometric Sniper – Blood in Paris follows on nicely, as you scour the landscapes ahead of you for your prime targets. Spot them, shoot, hit and kill and you’ll move on to the next.
Multiple challenges are in place, as is a randomly generated survival option and the chance to go ‘collecting’ items at will. There’s a good few game modes included in fact…
- Adventure: Across 10 missions, every detail counts, from carefully observing mission information to finding the perfect opportunity to shoot.
- Elite: Complete the 10 adventure missions without the help of zoom and precision.
- Mercenary: Have fun with new challenges and earn money to pay damages to the family of the civilian that you mistakenly killed during the missions.
- Survival: Find randomly generated targets on the map while snipers look for you.
- Find: Search for various objects scattered throughout these 10 missions and hit them before time runs out.
Should the original Geometric Sniper be anything to go by, we’d expect something similar to our previous 3.5/5 review score to work its way into Blood in Paris too.Â
You can find a download of Geometric Sniper – Blood in Paris over at the Xbox Store, with the game playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Whether you liked the first game enough to warrant a purchase of the sequel, or are coming in as a green shooter right now, the price and gameplay promises pretty much make this a bit of a no-brainer.Â
Keep an eye out for our review soon.
