R-Type Final 2 to launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021

The classics are always the best, and R-Type has stood the test of time longer than many; it’s a game that everyone should have played in one form or another. But that doesn’t mean there’s not room for improvement and in 2021 we’ll be seeing a new R-Type experience hitting Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC – R-Type Final 2. 

Building on the legendary shoot ’em up with an unparalleled R-Type experience, R-Type Final 2 will bring the usual colourful visuals and frantic gameplay, all whilst stepping things up a notch with an explosive debut on modern platforms. 

Complete with 3D visuals and modern gameplay features, R-Type Final 2 looks to enhance and evolve what has come before it to ensure a challenge for the more modern player. No matter whether you are an R-Type veteran or a green SHMUP fan, Final 2 will provide the goods with a performance base difficulty system, customisable ships and pilots and the legendary, super addictive gameplay loop.
