Building on the legacy of the beloved original, Pure Pool Pro promises more detail than ever before. Featuring a completely redesigned interface and introducing the futuristic “TetraDome” arena, PPP aims to be the most immersive and visually striking pool experience yet created.

Key Features: A New Standard for Pool Sims

Ripstone is going all-in on delivering the definitive pool simulation. Get ready for:

Showcase your mastery by earning unique ‘Crests’ for your player profile, awarded for achieving impressive in-game feats like skillful trick shots, long potting streaks, and clutch wins under pressure.

Building on Perfection: Team Quotes

The team at Ripstone is clearly passionate about pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Phil Gaskell, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Ripstone: “Pure Pool Pro builds on everything we’ve learned from years of crafting cue sports simulations. Our focus has been on enhancing realism and ensuring every shot feels as satisfying as it does on the table. In doing so we’ve created an experience that rewards skill, feels immersive, and keeps players coming back for more.

Mark Williams, Principal Technology Architect & Birmingham Studio Head: “With Pure Pool Pro, we’re pushing boundaries to create one of the first native 8K sports sims. New tech has allowed us to bring enhanced physics, physically accurate lighting, and surface micro-detail to reach a level of realism that truly immerses players. We’re confident it’s the most visually and technically advanced pool simulation ever built.

A Legacy of Excellence

The original Pure Pool was a phenomenal success, setting a high bar back in 2014. We awarded it a perfect 5/5 score in our review, calling it “as near as damn it, perfect” and praising VooFoo Studios (who worked on the original tech now evolved by Ripstone) as “the kings of the hustle.

Pure Pool Pro looks set to not only meet but exceed those lofty expectations with its next-generation features.

Prepare for the Pro Tour in Q3 2025

Pure Pool Pro is shaping up to be the ultimate experience for virtual pool sharks. With its stunning 8K visuals, enhanced physics, deep career mode, and robust online features with cross-play, it’s one to watch.

Get ready to chalk up when it arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS5 Pro, and PC (Steam) in Q3 2025. Price is still to be determined, but wishlist options should be appearing soon. Stay tuned for more updates!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
