Gildenarch has seen better days. Once a holy jewel, the city has been overrun by demons, undead, vampires and all manner of Hellish nastiness. Now Crimson Moon has arrived on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, putting players in the rather unfortunate position of being humanity’s last line of defence.
That means becoming a Nephilim – a human-angel hybrid with supernatural powers, impressive combat abilities and an understandable amount of anger towards the creatures invading the city.

Welcome To Gildenarch
Crimson Moon is built around replayable missions rather than one enormous uninterrupted adventure. You’ll head out from the safety of the Church, take on whatever horrors are waiting in Gildenarch and return to prepare for the next excursion.
There’s plenty of room to make the Nephilim your own along the way. Supernatural powers, weapons and melee combat all feed into the character progression, while successful missions can unlock temporary abilities capable of turning you into an even bigger problem for Hell.
And yes, there’s plenty of blood involved. Of course there is…
Crusade Alone Or Bring A Friend
You don’t have to face the forces of Hell by yourself. Crimson Moon supports both solo play and two-player co-op, giving you the option to take on its missions alone or bring another demon-slaying Nephilim along for the ride.
Missions can also introduce different modifiers and skill-based challenges, while dynamic difficulty scaling means upping the challenge can bring greater rewards. So, if you’ve mastered the basics, there’s a good reason to see how much punishment you can take.
Alongside that, the Church provides a welcome breather between missions. This acts as your home base, giving you somewhere to upgrade your character, meet NPCs and plan your next moves at the War Table. Further, Gildenarch’s gothic high renaissance aesthetic gives the game a suitably grim backdrop, while the enemies range from traditional demonic threats to vampires, undead creatures and grotesque Hellgrowth abominations.

There are a couple of ways to enter the fight. The Standard Edition costs £17.49, while the Deluxe Edition is £25.99 and adds a post-launch content expansion along with the exclusive Ceremonial Armor Set.
There’s also a Deluxe Edition Upgrade for £8.39 for those who already own the base game.
For those who like their action RPGs with a gothic edge, plenty of melee violence and the opportunity to bring a friend along, Crimson Moon looks ready to make Gildenarch a very unpleasant place to visit.
