Created by the Brighton based indie team at Bytten Studio, Cassette Beasts has today been confirmed for launch on Xbox, through Game Pass, Nintendo Switch and PC – with a new partnership with Raw Fury helping things along.

Thanks to a new publishing deal between Bytten Studio and Raw Fury, Cassette Beasts – Bytten’s first console release although team members have previously been involved in Stardew Valley – is a monster-fusing, open-world RPG that promises much. It’ll let players collect awesome monsters to use during turn-based battles.Nothing new there you may think, but this one lets us take any two monster forms, before combining them using the game’s ‘Fusion System’ – creating unique and powerful new ones in the process.

Commenting on their partnership with Raw Fury, the duo said, “Raw Fury have been really great to work with on Cassette Beasts. Their team gets what we’re trying to achieve with the project and have been very supportive. Cassette Beasts truly feels like a collaboration between us and them – it really wouldn’t have been able to grow into what it is now without Raw Fury backing us.”

Jonas Antonsson, Raw Fury CEO also commented, “Getting to work with the incredible talent at Bytten Studio is a real joy. Cassette Beasts is a perfect title for Raw Fury, and we can’t wait to bring its humour, monsters, friendship and unique world to players everywhere.”

You can find out how Cassette Beasts will play out by taking in the trailer below. We urge you to give it a watch. Let us know what you think of it too – the comments section is below and we’re available on all the usual social channels if you’d prefer.

We will of course keep you fully up-to-date with how Cassette Beasts and the collab between Raw Fury and Bytten plays out. With Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC launches planned, it’s one that we’re got our eye on – even more so when you consider some Game Pass goodness.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
